Hi guys, I'm coming up to January 2008. Doing not too bad as Spurs, lying in 10th place and in the LC quarters and EUro Cup 32 round.

My main concern is defence. Many of the goals I concede are due to a fast striker leaving my back line for dead. I've tried some tactical tweaks, but pushing my defence too deep gives the opposition too much space in front of them.

Basically, I need a fast DC, 16+ for pace and acceleration.

Should have around 20 million to spend, assuming I get good prices from player sales. I want a couple more players too if possible, but the DC is a priority and would spend my budget to get the right one.

Ideas? Cheers.

Metzelder has a 10.25M release clause at R.Madrid I think. He's reasonably quick.

Joseph Yobo - brilliant defender and extremly quick. Should be under 20M.

Sonko is very good and quick too. Wes Brown has ridiculously good stats in the game and he's quick as well. Nedum Onuoha is very, very fast but will need a little time develop completely. He'd be my choice though. Even Distin is quick if I remember correctly. Not sure though.

If you want, u can buy Breno from Sao Paulo.

Though u gotta wait 1 season, For a quick one ill trade in chimbonda with Gary Cahill.

I'd say get Micah Richards. He did go to Spurs in my game for about 15 mil, I think. He's fast, just mind his conentration, he can make blunders when you don't want him to.

Plus, he plays DCR, DM, CM really well and WBR alright.

Chimbonda has been my best defender, going nowhere, especially not to bring in Cahill
