Been at newcastle for 3 seasons.

I have won the premier league, the league cup and the fa cup last season.

This season im top of the league by 5points and in the semi's of euro cup. Im in the final of the fa cup but I was knocked out early in the league cup. I have just beaten liverpool to reach the semi's in euro.

The issue is that once a beat liverpool and clicked the continue bar, the next day they considered my position as manager.As if I have failed to deliver. I dont understand I have sold and bought a lot of players and in doing so I have now produced the goods winning all major english trophies and potential europe also. I have spent all my transfer budget every season and now im 2m in the red....

Why is my job at risk and why are they not manageing the accounts correcty after all they set my budget for me.

IM TEMPTED TO RESIGN AND MOVE ON, WHAT SHOULD i DO??? PLEASE HELP.

Calm down, its a game!

They set your budget but its your responsibility to look after particularly the wages. The bonues you offer some players can have an adverse effect on the clubs finances. The salaries are obvious. But all the bonuses go straight out of your bank balance. That might be a reason you're in the red. Else, maybe you've bought someone on structured deals and they've just paid some of that money off. Andway, 2M is not much to worry about. It should disappear soon enough. Also, maybe you're not filling up the stadium to full capacity. Maybe the attendance is very low for some reason.

Anyway, you shouldnt worry too much. They'll not fire you I dont think. You should have a new contract soon enough.

As Chelsea, i won virually everything for 2 seasons straight, and as my contract came to an end in the 3rd season, I kept getting messages in the "news" section saying that the club was worried they would lose me as a manager as I might not renew my contract, and so were looking at possible new managers :S

I hadn't declared interest at any other clubs or done anything to make it seem like I would leave.

ye but LuciferJonny, how often do you see a real football manager or even player wait til near the end of their contract to re-sign... not often!

you might have forgot to sign a new contract when it was offered? so they thought you weren't staying on

That's just rumors mate. They dont originate from the club or anything, its only the media. It happens irl all the time. It happened with Wenger before the beginning of this season a lot if you remember. I had that a lot too but the club offered me a new deal. They always do unless you've done very poorly for them.

thanks for the feedback, the news had come via the media But read - Newcastle board consider managers position. I will hold tight till the end of the season 8 games and see what happens.

Kinda gay. I asked for a contract renewal and they said they were 'unwilling to discuss'.

Oh come on. I'd won all 5 trohpies (League cup, EPL, FA, ECC and Community Shield) 2 seasons running and they were still considering my position! Plus, 3/4s of the team were 21-24 and they were the future Man Utd stars! And the board says they liked how I kept the 'long term future of the club in mind'!
