Default Scouting clubs' squads

Say I manage a conference team. I go to squad view of some L2 team and have my scout look at on one particular player I found interesting.

LLM or not?

Not.

Why would anyone suddenly pick a higher league team at random and scout a particular player?

If that player had been seen during a friendly or appeared in a news story about being wanted by another club etc., then OK.

What about scouting the whole team?

Scouting the whole team with the aim of looking at a player - unless he was found in a media report or through a scout recommendation, is not LLM.

Scene 1 - Boaed room at Club X English Conference South

New Manager: "Boss, I have a great idea to find new players for out team"

Chairman: "What's that then"

New Manager: "Each week I am going to stick a pin in a list of teams in England and then I am going to send our scout up there to check out their players"

Chairman: "Don't bother with the scout go and do it yourself and don't come back......You're Fired"

Well, being fired is very LLM-like, isn't it?

How about I try it and see if the chairman will really fire me? Do you think that would be OK?

But seriously now. Squad lists for league teams are commonly available IRL, aren't they?

And picking something at random might be just a desperate way of scouting for crap clubs the way I see it.

I suppose, if there's a team that's performing above expectations, you could justify sending a scout out to have a look at them.

Personally, I've only got 2 scouts and wasting their time on a single club just seems pointless to me.

Randomly picking teams to scout? Waste of time and unrealistic in my opinion.

You can't do much with a list of names and positions in terms of knowing who's good.

This reminds me of my first query in LLM.

Could a LL side scout the local leagues clubs to look for potential loanees?
