This is my first attempt at making a story out of my LLM experience so bare with me and feedback negative or positive is greatly appreciated, thank you.
So after being a great fan of Football all my life, I was leaving for England for a long holiday. I needed something on the side to make some extra cash as working at the local pub just didn't cut it.
I heard low level football manegerial jobs were on offer all the time and for 80 pounds a week I couldn't go past Yeadings offer. I signed up and handed my bodgied resume and the owner seemed impressed, not for the fake resume, but for the fact I tried to pull one past him and he saw that I had the hunger, something which as he stated, previuos managers lacked.
So he told me I'd be on a month by month trial and maybe, just maybe if the team did well I could keep my job.
So I had a look at the team practise and after that session I released about 10 players stating the club is in debt and I need to focus on a smaller group. Of course this pleased the owner, but not so much the team.
I cancelled all of our friendly matches and explained that there is a long season ahead and the team should get as much rest as possible cause come season kick off, we will be working hard for every game.
Seeing as I had nothing available to buy anyone and a debt of almost 20 grand, I said to myself I need to bring in a striker and mold him as my first signing who will also become my top goalscorer.
I browsed through lower division teams and one striker stood out, he had been known for his finishing when he gets the chance but apart from that he wasn't to good. I knew if I enticed him to join everything else could come and besides, he was only 20.
So weeks go by and we are getting closer to the opener against Salsbury City at our home.
I feel confident and so do most bookies, well anyway, time to put these guys to the test..
You should definately take a look at the forum rules here, mate. Stories go in the stories forum. We only post brief updates of our seasons and only after 3 seasons have been completed then after each subsequent season.
As a pointer too, we always follow LLM guidelines which you should also read up on. Combing through sides for good players is not part of those guidelines. We hire scouts and they do the job of unearthing players.
There is a link at the top of the main page and a sticky thread as well. There are only four posts (though they are quite long). Read them all, read them again, then you need to decide whether you want to adopt the LLM way, or not. Either way is cool, but if you choose not, you will need to stop posting your updates here.
Not meant to sound harsh, it's just the way it is. By all means if you have queries, fire away (in this thread please).
