I tried it, but went back to the numbers. I have to say that I liked the idea, but almost 15 years of playing CM/FM with numbers has made it hard for me to accept anything else, unfortunately.
On the subject of attributes: of course, they're only a device that allows us, the player, to ascertain how good a player is (and is lacking in real life) but in real life, when you walk into a club for day one in a new job: you don't know exactly good all your players are. But in FM, you do.
I would like to see the attributes going up and down for the first few weeks of a season, as you work out the best things about your players. Same for positions. They can give you an idea of their favoured position but at the end of the day, I'm the manager and I make the decisions. ("Boss, I like playing up front", "Course you do, but you can't hit a barn door. Your marking's pretty good though, so I'm telling you you're a left-sided sweeper.")
I'm a bar man myself give me pie charts, graphs, bar charts (grouped or stacked..bring 'em on!! Numbers make my numerically challenged brain weep.
A good point was made by mmanuel about the bars being a more realistic way to view players. However, i'm pretty sure a real manager wouldn't have bars or numbers to consult. At least not for things like 'agression' or 'influence'. Such things can't be converted into digits...
I had a look but the bars were just too small in Windowed Mode.
Maybe I'll switch when I get some bionic upgrades to my poor little eyes, but until then I ain't gonna spend 15 minutes squinting at the screen when deciding which MC to play.
As if a manager doesn't have instant access to all his players' numerical attributes from day one.
Btw, what wizzle said about the positions, they are a bit regimented for llm. Though I have been noticing a lot of players this time around can play a number of different positions. Poorly, of course
