2021 - 2022

First season in the conference national for St Ablans and it didn't go too great. 1/2 into the season we were 2nd bottom and couldn't win a game.

I started getting a bit fed up of them anyway and ended up resigning because I didn't really feel motivated in managing them.

After a few months I got a job offer from League 2 Barnsley so I jumped at the chance.

Not much money, a team full of 30 year olds past their best and 2nd bottom. This is a bit more of what I am looking for. I only had 6 games bit we won 4 drew 1 and lost the other so that's not too bad. We ended up finihsing 17th and now I am going to have to look at bringing in some young guns to push the club forward long term.

All my scouts were sent out to find some decent young prospects. I shipped out a load of the deadwood, but kept a few for experience purposes.

Start of the league was ok, we weren't conceding thanks to a solid defense and great young GK I got on a free. My defence was made up of the two CB's I already had a young DL from Newcastle on a free and me old DR from Southampton.

Anyway to cut a long update short we did crap in the cups, couldn't really score till I brought in a young striker from TNS who vagged about 16 from the end of January and we won the league 1 point ahead of Millwall. \o/

Only conceded 36 goals in the league, a record for me in the whole of FM I think.

Anyway League 1 awaits.
