Season 2006/07
Expected to be 6th by the media and get a ‘respectable position’ by the board, this season was always going to be tough. I would be happy with a playoff place and I feel this is realistic. Started well with a win over North Ferriby and an outstanding 2-1 win over Tottenham reserves but lost 2-1 to Swansea (to be expected) and drew 0-0 with Blackburn reserves. Overall, a good pre-season as my signings (a 22 year old striker, a 32 year old striker and a 20 year old winger) played well and one of my strikers scored the winner against Tottenham. This season was typical of one of my teams, winning the first 6 games and being 7 points clear at the top but not winning for another 6 and dropping down the table. The good/bad start was followed by a good middle and a great end, in which I sneaked into the last playoff position on the final day of the season. I lost the first playoff leg to Stevenage but won the second 2-0 and beat York in the final to lead Rushden into the league at my first attempt. Maybe there really is nothing to this management thing.

ENGLISH LEAGUE TWO
Season 2007/08
Expected to be 21st by the media and to fight bravely against relegation by board and fans, there wasn’t much pressure on me and my team during this season. Rewarded by the board for my promotion with a new contract and higher wage budget but no money available for transfers. I signed many Premiership Reserve players on frees and pre-season results were again promising, with a 3-1 loss to a full Man City team, a 2-1 win over League One Walsall, a 2-1 loss to a full Fulham team and a great 2-0 win over PREMIERSHIP Coventry, I was hopeful going into the season. Of course I would be happy to stay up but I feel that with the players I have bought I may just creep into the top half of the table by the end of the season. My optimism was correct and I combined another great start, another awful middle and another great end to finish second in League 2 behind Champions Millwall. I feel this was a fantastic achievement with no available spending money and bad luck with injuries for a lot of the season. The board now love me but will they give me any money? No.

Season 2008/09
The start of the season came with an unexpected surprise. Steve Mclaren was sacked as England boss following a poor showing at Euro 2008 and, as I always do with international managing positions, applied. I also replied for the Malta job as I wanted to start low again and I thought getting this job would be easier. 3 days later Malta appoints someone else as manager and, on the same day, the England job was offered to me. Of course I took it, and I am currently top of my World Cup qualifying group. Rushden were expected to be 24th (last) and to fight bravely against relegation by board and fans, this season I really would be happy to finish 1 place outside the drop zone. The team started badly but eventually picked up to finish 15th, 8 points away from relegation.

gse0x8, sorry, as much as I would like to believe you, but visiting GPG fora whilst playing what should be a LLM save would definitely give you some hints etc on who to sign. And THAT is against the rules for a LLaMa.

:thdn: because you have visited GPTG, and this falls foul of the "no cheating" rule. And unless you're running at absolute minimum spec, Conference North/South is where you should start.

I appreciate you've made the effort to make a forum-compliant update, but there's more to LLM than just starting low down.
