Has anyone noticed a difference with the new patch regarding the above.
I have just started my fourth season (having been promoted in my first season from the Con South and finishing 6th in my 3nd season. My reputation is still "unknown".
Having played the game without the patch, I had a regional reputation at the same point on the old game. Has anyone else found this? What if anything will trigger change to regional (ie. do you have to get promoted to the football league.
your past experience as a player has a say to your reputation as a manager. if you manage any lower leagues' team, unless you stay top two always, no one will care about if you successfully guide your team to promotion through play-off. harsh but reality. that goes in real life too. i don't give two s*** for any teams lower than the championship league in england (in reality unless the team you support is in that particular league). well unless they play big shots like the recently played fa cup game between chelsea and macclesfield. i won't even be made aware of this team if the tie wasn't played (i only know them virtually through fm though :p when i play as a llm)

IMO, having a National reputation in England would infer that everybody in England would think well of your abilities as a manager. That includes the managers of the top sides.
Do you think your achievements so far really warrant much attention from the big boys in the game?
They might have heard of you, but wouldn't hold you in much regard unless you did consistently well over a period of years, or with a number of different teams.
In his garbled way, I think this was what hippo was trying to say too.
