Mine is National and all I have done is gain one promotion. It changed from unknown to National after about 5 years in I think.

Mine just changed to regional when I gained promotion in Portugal.
I don't think reputation is a fan based thing but rather a player and staff thing. Only people that know about real LLMs are players and staff and fans of that team.

I think I started off as Sunday League. This was before we knew that Automatic didn't mean random. 
I started in the Conference South with Basingstoke.

Interesting - I've had two promotions from the two Conference leagues - into League 2 now and I still only have a local reputation....
Still can't work out how it works if that is the case....

Ten years, three different clubs, two promotions (with different clubs) and my reputation is local and has never been anything else except unknown.
But I'll show them!

I don't know if it has anything to do with the odds also. Like getting a promotion for a team tipped for relegation gets it up faster.
Because right now I am regional, amd if I got it right, means I am well known in central europe. And the only thing I have done was bring a team that was tipped for a relegation struggle up and while I was doing that the reputation was obscure. And I don't think that deserves a regional reputation.
