Default Reading with a Y (and Not an R)

Ive been playing LLM style for a good year now and feel its time for a little update on my progress:-

Leagues Loaded Up:

English (normal datbase, Conf N/S)

Unfortunatly thats it due to the snail like pace of my laptop.

I decided to start unemployed and take the first job offered

Season 06/07 - Yeading (Conference South)

Yeading offered me a job with mid table respectability the aim. Managed to get a few loan signings in but that was about it. Didnt get past the qulifying rounds in the cup competitions and a late surge in the league got me 5th place and into the playoffs, yet lost to Sutton Utd in the semi finals.

Season 07/08 - Yeading (Conference South)

My scout managed to find a few half decent sorts and i was quietly confident of going one better than last season. My board still wanted a mid table finish so i wasnt under any pressure. With ten games to go I was nearer relegation than promotion yet managed to put together eight wins and a draw to see me sneek into the playoffs. Lost to Sutton again at this stage so it was to be another season in the Conference South (or so I thought!) I was also beggining to see why the phrase Cups Suck Ass is used around these parts a lot.

Season 08/09 - Yeading (Conference North)

I had been moved from the Conference South to the Conference North due to Yeading's location ?????? For those that dont know Yeading is a small borough in West London. To be fair I couldnt see any teams in the Conference South more North than me yet it did seem odd.

Anyway i managed to improve the squad with loan signings and free transfers (transfer budget yet again £0) and was once again confident. I started with too many draws and was playing catch up all season. I managed to cement my annual spot in the playoffs but a 4-0 defeat to Leigh in the 1st leg managed to put pay to any promotion hopes. On a brighter note I managed to qualify for the FA Cup First Round where I dreamed of a glamour tie against a league one tie and some much needed funds. I got Morecombe at home and went down 2-0.

Season 09/10 - Yeading (Conference North)

Surely this time I would be able to gain promotion. The season started off wonderfully and I was beating teams for fun. The only problem was Leigh were doing the same yet by christmas it was clear this was a two horse race. With six games to go I was seven points clear and was dreaming of finally being able to play some proper reserve and under 18 matches and improve my youngsters. My bottle went and I managed just two draws from those six games and Leigh overtook me. So it was playoffs for the fourth season in a row. I thrashed Harrogate 6-1 in the Semi's and had Northwich in the final at Coventrys Recoh Arena. 2000+ fans turned up to see a drab 0-0 draw and a heart breaking penalty shoot out defeat after having a penalty to win.

Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhh this is starting to seriously get on my nerves, I HATE THE PLAYOFFS.

At least you should be getting some cash from all those playoff games.
