I'm near the end of my first season with Barrow. It's obvious I need new full backs next season and I came across one particularly good left back when I drew with Stalybridge a few matches back. As a result I sent my scout out to watch him in his next match and he came back with a positive report.
I then got a message saying this players contract was up in 3 months. So I decided to scout him over 3 games as it was a very real possibility I could make a move for him.
Then I got to thinking. In real life presumably you don't get a message saying his contract is up. In fact you probably wouldn't know. Now we all know that the game gives certain stats like wage, contract and all that that you would never be privy too. Therefore I try and avoid these unrealistic elements.
However, what are your views on the contract point. We can assume at BSN level everyone is part time and the chances are they are on one year deals. But I can't help feeling I only scouted this player further because of information that I wouldn't have known.
Is there a solution moving forward in LLaMa style or is it just an annoyance we have to put up with if a player is on your shortlist you will get such an update?
