Really, I am quite dissapointed with the amount of bugs in this game, and SI should have waited to release it. Not only you occassionaly get wrong results, but also with the game flow. I get a feeling that SI don't usually watch a soccer game. Really, I know chrismas is near, but the amount of red cards are enorm. Goalkeepers can make 2-3 saves in a second, which can be done in a cartoon but I never saw or believe it is possible in real life. Then the wonderfull celebration of your players on the pitch when the opposition have scored a goal against you, players going off the pitch at free kicks and corners.
I won't mention all bugs here since there are so many, and a quick search on forum will reveal this. The shame and frustration is that there isn't really a game that compete in this genre (forget CM, its more buggy than this waste-of-time game), so SI can be forced to make better game. I am deeply dissapointed, for usually one learn from their past mistakes ( fm04- buggy, fm 05- took more than half year to repair, fm 06 took more than 7 months to make the game good, fm 07 one positive game, repaired well after 1 patch, and fm 08- back to fm 05-06), SI seems not to.
Guess I have to put this game on the shelves till 2-3 patches can repair it, and from my experience it will be playable close to next season.
Seems since the split up of the companies, SI have lost the touch, my advice?...watch a soccer game then make one..

Was there an Fm04?? Wasn't 05 the first?

There are hundreds of threads identical to this, we all know the problems and most of us seem to be a little disappointed with at least some aspects of the game.

Yes but if we make 100 more, we could get lucky and have SI understand the problem, or at least read our posts.

A little bit of bandwidth died to create this thread. It saddens me.

That last statement about 'watch a soccer game' is pretty much insulting.

Before I patched it, I had great success. After I patched it (last night) the game improved tenfold.

I wish I could see the bugs, but all I see is butterflys.

one things that bug me most in this game.. is crappy offside engine.. seem to never work right.. getting offside for random player who never was in offside or never was even getting pass is bit lame..

another players performance and emo morale, how can my players perform like word class players one game.. and another like 6th league amateur, no its not very low morale.. which is too easy to get.. its like my little sister.. but she have problems with going emo.. but there is no option to send ur whole emo team to doctor.. cuz they going nuts.. and its not that they are
tired..

its just bug me to see how my best 2-3 cm/dm cant pass ball to each other without loosing it or passing to wrong direction. and loosing ball again.. same goes for attackers.. cmon ? my attacker doesnt even seem to drible or move with ball.. maybe its my tactics.. using 1 attacker and 2 wingers. most of my goals are after cross with header

another thing composure have too big effect.. o geez i have 20 finishing 20 penalty and 13-14 composure.. and that striker scored maybe 1 penalty from 5... cmon ?

and whole lot of other stuff.. game is playble.. just things like that feels you smashing exit button.. fifa manager 08 is great game, sad its as much bugged and even more unrealistic ..

2. Have you read the the manual, particularly tactics
3, Have you read MarK Vaughans hints and Tips for FM2007 - most will pretty much still apply

Si don't reply to all the threads like this because they are all the same. Maybe they haven't exactly taken responsibility for such a badly released game,but at least they are taking their time with the patch to make sure its full release fixes all the problems.

si understand the problem and read the posts. just because they dont inidvidually email every one to say so or bother to write anything in the thread doesn't make any difference.

after all, before you could click on the 'pitch' option even if there was nothing to show resulting in a blank pitch.
they insisted that that is how it should be but changed it because of how people wanted it to be.

whether they were lying or not when saying that's how it should be i dont care.
the fact that it's changed shows they notice.

thats a minor example but fixing other problems also shows they notice.

I use 4-4-2 and have same problems with passing and off side, very frustating. To urbanjunkie, yes they should watch a soccer game, and state if they see the players celebrate when the opposition scores, with so many bugs, which all occured so far from cm 04 till fm 08.
It is incredible that almost the same bugs ( for example the goalkeeper making 3-4 saves in 1 sec.)don't get repaired, it is an insult for all gamers for we are paying for this game.

The best thing to do is report your problems in the bugs forum with examples and evidence (pkm files for match related stuff etc) as that is where our QA team are monitoring and logging issues for the programmers to look at.
