Default fm08 debacle - impact on fm09

do you think there will be an impact on fm09 (sales/customer) as a result of what has been happening with the fm08 release?

should SI take their time?

actually they can start their fm09 testing earlier than how they did fm08. like if development starts july 07 for fm09, try start earlier like may 08 or something for fm09.

but for this year, fm 08 is late and slow and lots of bugs is due to the FM Live, extra platforms compatibility, Vista, FM Mobile, etc, etc.

i used to picture SI Games as Marc duffy hehe. like one man show. But I hope thats not true though. i think they have sufficient staff in the SI Towers to develop the game way faster.

and FM is lucky, unlike Fifa.

Fifa has bitter rivals who calls themselves WE Pro Evo Soccer which is winning more and more football gamers.

As for FM, its too big to be compared to other management games. So.. sales wont be affected. Its a to-die-for kinda thing to get FM-any-series.

it is marc duffy on his own..he just uses fake nics to creat the illusion that SI is not a one man show

good response. SI has monopolised the market to the point where there is no other choice of any value to consider.

The reason they have "monopolised" the market as you put it, is that they are the best! Unless SI were the best they wouldn't have been able to monopolise it! Also interesting to hear Fifa mentioned. How many patches do EA release to their games? One? Maybe two if lucky? The last Fifa I bought had more bugs than the I'm A Celebrity jungle. No patches were released except one on the day of release. The patch will come out when SI are happy with it.
I do wish you people would realise a good thing when you see it! Here we have a company who are willing to work on patches for their games, who actually listen to what we are saying (just because they may not be posting on here at the moment doesn't mean they aren't reading the forum!)
Stop wingeing for gods sake.

Whs.

Don't think SI wil sell less next year because of 08. But I do hope they make some changes for the release process of 09 (more testing of the final product?).

Calling FM08 a debacle is stretching it a mite thin. I can think of a lot worse "out of the box" releases for bugs etc. Ultima IX comes to mind. *shudder*
