Running a holiday game recently my game ran till 2015/2016 and i noticed lots of clubs had problems with finances 16 out 20 clubs in the premier league had loan debts and 2 had been in to administration even with the mega bucks coming in. Example Aston Villa who have a reasonable amount of money at the start of the game had been in administration and had been bought out, a lot of the reams finances were suffering from the ridiculous wages being payed to average players this was Aston Villas case with such players as Marco Amelia earning 105,000 a week im not sure hes worth that. A bigger example would be a European super power such as Atletico Madrid who's transfer sales outweighed their purchases by about 100 million there downfall had been paying high wages to average players Craig Gordon 110,000 a week.
Wages for all clubs seem to generally increase as the game progresses this would be ok but income from TV and competitions does not change so clubs can not deal with the financial implications
it doesnt really matter hwo other teams do, personally, i know how to keep my budget down so i dont fail. stevieG is earning i think 35.000k a week and u have players like kewell who refuse to accpet a new contract with 80.000k a week, so its players like that u have to let go, or ull pay the consequences in the future
I generally find if I leave my transfer budget as it is (not requesting board adjustments) and sticking to my wage budget I don;t have any problems. Man Utd did go go into administration in season 4 though! Was a great day!
