The toning down of power shots for the patch- should it have been done?
Dont know if anybody remembers pre-patch but it seemed that SI had decided to bring FM up to date and reflect how hard the new modern balls can be hit.
Then they decided to fix the longshots issue by toning down "powershots".
IMO they made the wrong choice- and rather than pretty much entirely remove this realistic feature they should have made them less accurate, as the result is we still get balls going straight through keepers but never with the venom that we often see irl.
Please bring them back!!!!

Agree. The most of long shots from world class players ( ronaldinho,vdv... ) are like ballons sent to the keeper. The only player i have is riquelme who still has some power in his shots.

I agree. To be honest I very much enjoyed the match engine from the 1st beta patch. Other bugs that could wreck long term, lower league games were what made me stick with the full patch.
I enjoyed some of the goals that could be scored with the 1st beta patch, particularly the odd pile-driver. And I wasn't too bothered about the shots that looked like they went through the keeper, I just imagined these as shots slammed into the roof of the net that have flown over the keeper.
So yeah, I agree that it's nice to see the odd powerful shot and that the accuracy should have perhaps been toned down rather than the power.

Agreed, that was a great match engine.
I'm just sick of watching my strikers shoot straight at the keeper when clean through on goal.
