It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

I read somewhere, Maybe the manual that if your tackling is on normal/easy players are fairly conservative with tackling. So If when playing a game after 2 mins someone is injured put the team on hard tackling.I noticed thi counters physical teams like west brom, sheffield utd and Bolton, it means players wont get esaily injured.

I'm following.

Got any good match stat screenshots?

You're still using a flat 4-4-2 right?

I'm still using this tactic that I started at the beginning, although the defenders are now on tight zonal marking.

It's a shame because this time it really was going well...

I've given up, I don't think I'll play Football Manager any more.
I have tried and tried and tried and tried and tried, each attempt I am more determined than the last but it gets to a stage in the season and Bang! Never win again.
I've no idea what happened and I'd need an Enigma machine to decipher the very minor clues the game gives me.
This is so disappointing because after the help I'd got from you guys and the way the game was going I was CONVINCED I was going to finish a season with Liverpool but, alas, no more.

We got to that stage in the season listed above there ^^^ and then lost our next FIVE matches in a row without scoring a goal or a single player getting a match rating above 7. I dunno why, I never changed anything.
Why did that happen? Why did my players' morale just suddenly plummet? Why suddenly start shipping goals?
My Ass Man never even offered any advice as to how to escape the slump, predictably.
Anyway, I quit and reload twice and holiday'd the five matches but the results were identical both times; P5 W0 D0 L0 F0 A8(ish), very odd.

So again, I'm sorry guys, but FM07 is the only game I've ever known to reduce me to genuine tears of frustration and anger, making me want to smash my PC.
So I'm giving up, and nobody can say I never tried.
This is not a rant by the way Cleon and Rashidi1, I'm merely explaining what happened, I promise I'm not crying "Cheat".

Just out of interest what team talks do you give when you lose games.
I'm not saying this has anything to do with it, it's just something I'm interested in.

It doesn't matter what I said, or done, or didn't say and/or done/do/did.
Nothing mattered.
I hit a brick wall for some reason, the game just changed, simple.
For no reason whatsoever everything changed; it just didn't seem like the same game, suddenly NOTHING worked, nothing made a blind bit of difference to my teams performance.
This is why I've retired from '07 - because this happens all the time without warning, you don't get any help from your ass man and I find it totally unrealistic that a team, who are playing really well, would just stop working.
I know teams IRL suffer slumps in form, I'm well aware of this (I support Liverpool!), but the manner in which it happens on FM07 is on a truly catastrophic scale and you've no control over it.
It just ruins the game for me, I tried to play it, I tried my hardest to understand it, I even tried to like it, but it doesn't like me so I give up.

I'll also re-iterate this:

Quote:
NO ONE CAN SAY I NEVER TRIED

Same old same old. Happened to me with Chelsea. You make a great start to the season and then get absolutely trounced game after game for no apparent reason. Im over it tbh
