Nice thread and you obviously have put alot of work into it.
To me though this just proves how pathetic this game has become that its all just a silly numbers game which is totally unrealistic if you really this about it

wwfan ive used some of your away tactics with Liverpool and while im winning mostly I still dont even out shot the opposition or dominate whatsover which still makes the game very unenjoyable.
If you have a world class team you should be able to go small away teams and dominate as in real life not have to create a defensive tactic, this game has become too much of a chore

| Yes it's so unrealistic! Because you know, good teams never lose or play badly in real life! I mean, look at Real Madrid!

Oh you always get the little smart arse replying dont you. This is a game not real life and this game cannot replicate real life and if SI's idea of this is to creat a numbers puzzle with mentalitys etc then its just pathetic, its so unrealistic. Do you think real life managers give each player there own indivudual mentality ffs.

What is also pathetic is that you create a tactic that works brilliantly for about 5 away games and then all of a sudden its awful whats all that about. Now I wair for the next smart arse answer from someone who thinks he knows more than he does...

Well, of course they do! They obviously don't use numbers or sliders, but they tell their players how they want them to play, and, very often, players who play in similar positions get assigned to different "mentalities", considering their capacities.
The numbers and sliders are just a way to "translate" it to an easily manageable system.
Also, SI doesn't expect you to use individual mentalities. It's just a possibility for customization, if you find the team mentality doesn't suit your taste, or doesn't go with the rest of your ideas.
Simply put, what SI is progressively trying to do is to build a "blank screen", from which you can customize your team to play how you like it. It's important to pay attention to the feedback the game gives you to get that customization "just right". But it's very possible.
On a post scriptum note, I'm not one of those "SI are never wrong" people. I just appreciate the good work that's been done over the years.

And I also appreciate the work SI have done over the years but theres just so many irritating aspects of this current game.
For example 90% of the time when you score particularly away from home the opposition immediately has a chance on goal sometimes from the kick off, no chance of a drop in moral from them is there?
It just seems impossible to dominate away games now which IS possible in real life. Maybe this game is only best for people who have hours upon hours to study tactics etc. I think SI are trying to make the game more complex but until they can get it right then they shoudnt

People talk about this re-ranking nonsense which is just silly. Do you think Man Utd or Chelsea IRL after january have to chance there game because teams have worked there tactics out or wotever, no they dont.
This game has become more of a stupid numbers game when it should be more about the players.

I am honoured to take part in this fine selection with my sets. These sets have been praised as the best for their formation or the best ever, but also been flamed as the most useless ever, to be honest. This seems to depend on the judgement of picking the right players (especially for Creativo) and the right versions, as well as the judgement of in-game tactical situations. It takes a little time to get used to this, but it is worth the effort.
All tactics of these sets have proven to be successful in the long run, if you take your time to select the right players and the right version.
If you want to have a look at the version history and more detailed player feedbacks, you might have a look at the threads at FM-Britain and the Dugout. Please feel free to ask anything you might want to know.
I hope you will enjoy.
