I wanted know what the best way to set up the instructions would be for a 3 man strikeforce. I want the centre man to be the target man who holds up the ball and plays the other 2 in. What settings would I need to achieve this?
Try forward runs on mixed, run with ball on often, try through balls on often, long shots on mixed and cross ball on mixed. A backwards arrow to AMC might help.
However, ideally, it's best if you use crossing - because you always have two strikers on the receiving end of a cross. But I'm guessing this isn't feasible for you.
Also assuming you are going FC-FC-FC. Don't use AML/AMR with diagonal arrows to the FC positions - this plays in the striker from the wingers.
Oh yeah, as usual, high mentality (16-18), high creative freedom (16-18), moderate closing-down (8-12) - you don't want to chase the ball, and run into a stone wall - you can't playmake there), mixed passing (depends on your tempo and width) and easy tackling. If you lose the ball, it's not your job to get it back because you want to playmake, so keep it to easy.
Sounds like a plan.
In your first post, those tactical changes, are they to be made to the central ST out of the 3 and do the other 2 need anything particular in order to latch on to what he might create?
Well this plan this guy laid out for me has worked so far, as im top of the Belarusian league. Im also trying it with my new Belgian team, but it does work, obviously not to the extent that youll win 6-0 all the time. The middle striker does generally create chances, and ive noticed that the defenders back off and then if he has a good long shot setting, it gives him plenty of space for a crack at goal. It took them a while to get used to though.
