Just wanted to know, in your milan tactic, the mc is the one that should be in the playmaker list ?
So far really working well in my arsenal game, perhaps i let in a few to many goals, but this could change when clichy is back and gallas can again play as dc.
this tactic should suit a team like arsenal perfectly, you should see results at the back in a big way if your central midfield is firing on all cylinders
DirtyACE in reply to your question on the thread i just wrapped up, no I leave all the settings on all these formations the same once Ive set it.
Thats just my approach and I'm sure there are variations on playing away, I just try and attack with all my formations in every game in the same way, mainly because I like to test the formation under every condition.
Eventually a nice suite of 3 or 4 finalised formations would be good for options, especially a defensive/counterattack option which I want to crack.
Either way, keeping the AI under pressure seem to work, the Milan tactic doesnt mess around and it seems to scare the AI onto the backfoot. Or something.
Thanks socks. I will try out all three of your formations. They look pretty promising. I usually make my own tactics but lately I've been more and more dissapointed with the game and the way my team plays. I just can't seem to come to grips with tactic tweaking. I'm currently just starting my 6th season with Barca. The previous 5 seasons have been pretty successful but I tend to tweak like a maniac half the time and just getting pretty tired of it.
I've read many excellent reviews of your tactics and am eager to try them as soon as I can.
Yeah, the endless tweaking is a bad path to go down, because, in my experience, if you make more than one chnange at a time, its difficult to know what the hell's going on.
Hell, it's tough enough knowing what one adjustment has affected!
If it has any bearing on the order you try them, I played with the 442 for about 8 seasons, then the 451 for 10, then I mixed them up a bit, about 7 or 8 games each for a couple of seasons, and now putting the Milan 4321 through it's second season.
just 1 question about the Milan tactic....I actually am playing a game in the Brazilian 3rd division and using this tactic....so far so good....but which striker is your target man? I seem to get alot of shots with the left Forward and was just curious if that is how it is supposed to be played
The big shooter is the left forward, you'll notice he's very high in creativity, free role, and also makes the runs.
So if you actually tick to use target man option, I suggest the other (right) forward, who is set to make the through balls. let me know how you get on.
I havent tested it myself as each, even small change I make, takes a long time to check out.
What about the playmaker position? Would Gerrard suit this?
What I mean is, who would work the best in each of these positions to benefit the tactic as Liverpool?
Also do you have any tips for team talks as I always get the message "Worried the ,managers lack of experience might hinder the clubs progress" for a lot of players and can't get the most out of them due to there morale being so low?
I ticked the Target man for 4 or 5 games and even though i was able to win 4 and draw the 5th game, the offense didnt seem to flow as well as without....i have removed itfrom the tactic....this is on the Milan setup
