It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default AC Milan way of playing

I have started a game with AC Milan but I am not at all happy about the results so far. I conced to many goals and my strikers score to little. Almost all the goals are comming from Kaka and that is a bad thing cause the team gets to much depended on him

So is there a tactic idea to play 4-1-2-1-2 with wich you conceded not many goals and the two strikers score a lot? I've tried almost everything but I can't succeed to make a good tactic to fit the team. What type of passing should I play? My idea was short and slow passing but it doesn't seem to work. And should I close down often or not? And does AC Milan play with a targetman? (I believe not)

Is there a tactic out there which is successful when playing in a AC Milan style formation? (7.0.2)?

Thanks.

i dont know of a tactic already out there. But i would say. That it is crucial to play with a AMC. As Kaka is the best on the game, in my experiance.

Also, watch how they play in real life and try and implement that into the game. Like Imo. they arent really a defencive side. Although they have great defenders, that do the job, when needs be. Also, they play Inzaghi as there Target man. Miles better than Gilardino ... So there very attacking. And dont really hit teams on the break, because for that they'de need to invite pressure onto the defence. Which they dont usually like to do. Also They dont really have any world class wingers, so they play with 2 cm's and usually a DM. who is pirlo normally.

So if you can try and implement that into the game. I will be starting a Milan game soon. I will make a tactic. And see how it goes. If good ill upload it

2 in midfield seems very light, I suspect thats why you arent doing well.

consider moving the DM up or the AMC back to make at least 3 in midfield, or arrow into those positions at the very least

I had found a 4-1-2-1-2 tactic in fmdownloads site for fm06 version but never succeded in making it work in FM07 version. I really loved that tactic, but yes FM06 was much easier aswell.

I love the way AC Milan play, and was very successful using a similar tactic on FM06.

But I have had a torrid time with the 4-1-2-1-2 formation in FM07, from my experience

Everything hinges on the full backs in the 4-1-2-1-2 for Milan here, otherwise you have absolutely no width, like IRL, but I find it far too risky to make them very attacking and thus when the opponent attacks if your fullbacks aren't getting back quick enough all that defensive strength in midfield gets bypassed.

What my advice: do what I do - buy some new players (wingers) and play 4-4-2 (of some variety) or 4-5-1 (again, many variations).

Well the tactic tweaking time has come. Im in pre-season, and have used a 4-1-2-1-2. Beat Juventus reserves 6-0.

This is the team i played:-

Match Stats:-

So basically i destroyed them everywhere. And you will be telling me not to get to carried away with myself, or.... c'monn its only Juve Reserves.... I would say, yes i know . But is this the start of a beautiful tactic?

I will keep you updated

Well I think of the tactic as more of a Home-Very Attacking Tactic. As im creating lots of chances as you can see, im creating lots of chances because, Pirlo, Gattuso, seedorf, and kaka are all taking long shots.

Well i destroyed all of my pre-season matches.

But then it came to The CL qualifier

The 1st leg was away from home. Using my Tactic

Match Stats:

So i got beat on possesion. And they gave me a scare for a while. But Never Fret When you have Seedorf and Inzaghi to hit the net

----

Then came the 2nd leg at the San Siro.

Match Stats:-

Well as i expected. Red Star Couldn't rise to the occasion and there Hopes and dreams of becoming european champs. Ended and the 1st hurdle

Well im just about to play my 1st home game at the San Siro in Serie A. I will let you know how i get on.
