Creative or Skilled??
I always find some very nice youngsters in my youth team that have 15+ creativity but then I find that, thats about their only skill.
So my question is... what is better to sign?
1. A players with high creativity so you can train him to pass, shoot or whatever you need.
or
2. A players with high passing/shooting or whatever skill and train him to be creative?
ps. What aspect of training increases creativity?

At a young age I look for physical attributes plus anyone standing out with the following:
Goalkeeper - Reflexes, Handling, Communication, Jumping, one on ones
Fullbacks - Positioning, Tackling, Pace, Anticipation
Central Defenders - Tackling, Jumping, Positioning, Heading, Strength, Marking, Bravery, Teamwork
Wingers - Pace, Dribbling, Passing, Off the Ball, Creativity, Crossing
Attacking Midfield Passing, Off the Ball, Creativity, Technique, Dribbling
Defensive Midfield - Workrate, Jumping, Tackling, Stamina, Positioning
Fast Striker - Pace, Acceleration, Dribbling, Technique, Finishing, Off the Ball
Target Striker - Jumping, Heading, Strength, Off the ball

What do your scouts/coaches think of him?
If he is young he is obviously still learning. Is he a 'promising player'?

You send him to theater school and find yourself someone who can actually play football.
High creativity, by itself, does almost nothing. Are you under the impression that these players are easier to train in other areas? If so, this isn't how FM handles creativity. While its a great attribute, as you can see from Dayle's post, its certainly not the most important stat, or only important stat.
In lower leagues one can get by having players with single or dual 'high stats', say in pace and finishing, or jumping and marking. You might convert one of these creative youth into an off-chance playmaker for the lower leagues. If their other stats are decent they may end up great players, but that's true of any statistical anomaly.

Oke ... so lets say I find someone with 10 for passing and 18 - 19 - 20 for creativity.
I can just buy him. Train him on passing, pace and dribbling and then he could turn into great MC/AMC playmaker right?

There is alot more to it than that.
You have not thought about first touch, his actual CA and PA, off the ball, technique and a host of other things.
