like the title says I just wanted to know what it is, I've always had the assumption is that players with high creative freedom would pull of fancy moves to create chance, and secondly would giving your attacking players plenty of creative freedom in a slow possession tactic work.

Creative freedom is how much you want the player to stick to your instructions and not sway by trying to be superman.

If you have a player with high creativity and decisions then it is to your teams benefit to make this player have high creative freedom as he will make magic happen more often.

Someone with low creativity should have little creative freedom obviously or they will constantly be trying to do something that won't come off.

As for your question it depends on the above mainly. Creativity and decisions are the two you should take into account.
