Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Official bugs in the match engine- SI take note for fm 2009

I dont know if there's a similar thread in the bugs or other forum but i want this thread to simply list match engine bugs/faults. Some of these are tactical and some just engine bugs.I'll start with:

1) player one-on-one with keeper and deciding to run away from goal and shoot at impossible angles.

2) a stationery ball right on the line just touched out by a player(these players obviously dont know how to wrap their foot behind a ball).

3)Terible 45 degree like first touch when a players about to dribble.usually hitting the ball so far in front.IRL the players do this when trying to get past a player first.

4)Very inaccurate back passes under no pressure leading to a corner kick.

Please list anymore bugs/faults in the game. Hopefully SI will be aware of this and sort it out in future versions.

There is no real point to doing this mate. The new game (08) is just that - a new game - so pointing out bugs in this version is pointless.

Anyway they are busy testing their little hearts out looking for bugs on the new game as we speak.

ok, fair point. So should we wait for the new version then post match bugs? As i wanted all bug say in this thread because the game is continually evolved and not revolutionised there is a chance these bugs may be in fm 2008.

Well there is a bugs forum actually to put stuff in though I wouldn't bother for 07since there will be no more patches for it.

Best to just wait till 08 comes out, play that and if you have issues report them then.

Some of the bugs badboy as highlighted i have come across my self a lot of the player mistakes peeps are seeing are down to these bugs.

There two horrible bugs which i hope are fixed one is the import bug so when you start a new game and import you tactic some of your player instruction go to all mixed if you then save the tactic when the game ask you to will will save the tactic with the bug in the only way round this is to reload the tactic after importing it to get rid of this bug.

The second one and by far the worse is the sub bug which normal effects your keeper after making a sub his instruction will just change back to mixed and you will then start see shocking mistakes from him and his team mates it as they your tactic gose fu-bar for no reason i really hope the beta test pickup on these bugs they spoil the enjoyment of 07

There is a bugs forum for raising them.

1. For individual bugs raise the issue, include information such as the version you're using, when the bug happened how it happened

2. Attach pkms and saved games please, so that we can test these out and replicate them.

As you know everyone is busy testing out FM2008, so I can say there is little or no chance anyone is going to come into this forum. Do it in the Bugs forum where it belongs.

Once again please include pkms, the pkms need to have the time the bug happened if its a match engine bug.

Some bugs may require you to post a saved game before the bug happens, so incremental saves are important. Just saying there is a bug isn't enough, you need to show it so people can replicate and find out what's causing it.
