It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default New player needing a bit of help

yes well i just recently got the game(3 months ago) and have only had 1 save file. As i am an arsenal fan it was with arsenal. i found that i could never score and i would conceded stupid little goals. it took 5 years before I won any silverware(I was supprised they didn't sack me hahahah) I just got the new WeeGiE patch which is recent up to the last transfer window end.

I started again and I'm finding the same problems

That is a usual line up, All my 3 keepers suck ass, Lehmann misses really easy goals, I brought Ocha but loaned him out (He's only 21)

That's my instructions

Well my training thing is pretty much default, Tactics is counter attacking with CB staying back. So i played my first save for about 6 years then started this one, The highest goals i have scored in a game is 4, EVEN WITH AGUERO AND VP AS MY STRIKERS!!!!!!!! i have never won more than 4-0

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You won't get a lot of wins bigger than 4-0, particularly as if you go in at half time well ahead it is difficult to stop your team cruising through the second half.

A couple of quick points though.

I wouldn't use counter attack with Arsenal, especially at home, and It doesn't really sit with an attacking mentality either.

To break teams down you need to make the pitch as big as possible, so I would definitely consider a lot more width and you might also want to drop the defensive line a bit as well.

I'm not a fan of hard tackling, as you will give away free kicks in dangerous areas, and set pieces are where inferior teams are most likely to hit you.

I notice tight marking is ticked, if this instruction covers your strikers and creative players as well, you will be making them less likely to find space.

Are you using the same tactic home and away? Do you find that the ai strikers are getting behind your defnense?

Arsenal needs a attacking, adventurous, bold tactic to fly - you say you play counter- attacking, as in having the counter attack box ticked? Always? ... not good. Go attacking, short passing, quite slow, but wide and with high tempo in short bursts, give the attacking players creative freedom, set strikers on free role if they can cope. Use Fabregas right - he is much better as an attacking midfielder than a defensive one. As soon as Vela is ready, use him. Zonal marking, 442. Use only defenders with pace, that means get rid of Senderos if you still have him. Only go slightly more defensive when you play away against the very top clubs - Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan and the likes. The day will come when this approach won't quite do anymore, and then it's time for tweaking

Oh, and ease up on your tackling - Arsenal is a technically gifted team, not a brute force kind of a team. When your lead is safe, ease up on the closing down, easy tackling, slower, narrower, take off arrows, defend deeper.

yeh i use same tactic all the time im not a fan of the home/away tactics.

I just find that goals get scored on me pretty easy. Like they just fast counter and bam

Well i want to play fast attacking football with good passing pretty much like how they play irl
