Hi guys.
I'm sure there is 10 million threads already but i can't seem to find the right players for me in them. Just asking for any suggestions about defenders you have bought in the past that are very good with decent heading, tackling and pace.
Just because playing as west ham, Upson and Ferdinand are almost non-existent. However, i am not using the patch as i dislike it and west ham have a budget of around 8-9 million.

If its season 1, try Felipe from Udinese. He's one of the best defenders in the game and only costs 5M odd. His stats increase dramatically after 1 season of regular football. Sergey Ignashevich is always available on a free at the start of the game. He's very good too, although not the best. If you can increase your budget by 2-3 million, then Barzagli is always available for 12M or so. Only problem is that I'm not sure he'll be willing to join West Ham.

I've just bought Zvenyika Makonese from Santos (the less well-known South African one!). 55k (yes, just 55k), he's got 20 marking, 16 concentration, 17 passing, 17 tackling, 17 bravery, 15 positioning, 17 teamwork, 18 work rate, 17 strength, 15 jumping, 15 anticipation. The only question marks on him are his decisions (8) and pace (10). Plus the fact he's 30 and only has 23 caps for Zimbabwe, so he can't be that good really. Especially as I'm Derby.

He's got all the stats to be at least a decent Premiership defender as long as you don't isolate him with a quick striker, and for 55k its probably worth finding out how good he is.
