Default Big name signings for your smaller clubs ..

Im curious to see what big name signings have other players of the game managed to secure for their smaller clubs. So this threat should be omitted by those that play for top European clubs.

Im currently playing with Shakhtar, although they are a powerhouse in the Ukraine they havent been in Europe. The obvious initial transfer at the start of the game would have to be Van Der Vart (eventually sold to Man Utd for 35 million euros). Im in 2009/2010 season and have managed to secure the signature of Pablo ! (DC from Atletico) there was a brief moment where apparently Aguero was even interested but that was only for a couple of days I believe. Atletico were in some financial trouble so I managed to snap him for a nice price...

In my other game (Zenit Petersburg) if I remember correctly in the 2010/2011 season I managed to sign Fabricio Colocinni from Deportivo , also for a nice price because of the difficult financial situation they were in.

I secured Corradi for Wolves in 09 season, Lee Dong Gook(that korean striker from Middlesbrough)and Alexey Smertin. Danny Murphy on a free he was released by Fulham. Now trying for players overseas but no luck(damn you del piero, why wouldn't you want to quit juventus for wolves? :p)

I once had Darren Anderton as a physio, Hasselbaink as a scout and Ole Gunnar Schoelskar (sp) as Assman. Dunno if they count as big name signings, but they went well for my Championship Walsall lads!

Leicester - season 2 I got Jean II Makoun, season 3 brought in Corrani, who had already moved from Palermo to Parma.

I think we might have a winner!

I play as Arsenal so cant see any signing would be too big. But some signings made by other clubs I've seen in my game are:

- Mascherano went to Bolton on a free
- Diego went to Pompey only to want out next year!
- In my first start on FM08, the biggest of them all: David Villa went to flamin Pompey again. Needless to say, I gave that game up pretty quick.

Worm takes the prize!

I got Riquelme and Agbonlahor (though he is pretty average) in season 2011/12 for my Burnley side.

I've managed to sign Akinfeev, Guardado, Ashley Young, James Vaughan, Michael Johnson, Armand Traore and Curtis Davies as my big name signings for Leeds now in the fifth season.
