Unfortunately, this is true in most of these countries when you go down a couple of levels, & is surely more work than going down the English pyramid.

I see your point, but I don't think a high number of teams is really a problem in itself, the Brazilian 3rd division has 128 teams for example.
The main problem with adding more leagues in England is not a research one, but as others have said, with modelling them realistically within the game. It's would be very difficult
IMO to model transfers at this level and also to manage players with
worse skills than the Conference N/S ones.
With the Tercera División and Serie D, there are a lot of teams, but it's easier to model them accurately, both in terms of players, movement and their skill levels. As long as you can find the required information on clubs, players etc., which wouldn’t be too hard for these countries.
