Could it be weather related?

It's been a long time since I played in England even, but you used to see the players lose fitness there much quicker in games if the weather were extremely hot or cold.

May and June in Brasil would be cooler, being sub equatorial? Where's Mr Flea when you need him

From what I remember of my Geography lessons and assorted lectures way back when, the equator has 2 'summers' - spring and autumn - and 2 'winters' - err, summer and winter.

From my vague recollections of Brazilian football in FM, it makes very little difference. Chile is an odd-shaped country, so depending on what part you lived in you could probably get extremes in weather during the year. Not sure whether this is coded in FM, though.

I would hardly say Winter is Brazil is particularly cold though, compared to Winters here.

Just to add my findings, my players do suffer an 'off' period but that is during our off season, December and January being the main culprits when the players are on holiday.

This is also the coldest time of the year in Sweden

That could be it. I noticed in FM2006 while playing in Portugal in on-line clan game that players fitness goes bad every time my players play at hot weather (above 25 degrees).

Now, this may be a bit tippy and I do apologise.

If the temps in double digits, it's t-shirt weather.
