Default An American Yankee in Scotland

After years of playing CM and lurking in this forum, I reread the header and decided it was time to be an active member of this forum.

Frank send me to Arbroath, whose supporters wondered what they had done to deserve an unknown 34 year old American.

2006-07 Scottish Third Division
Not a great start. Never in the top half of the table. Not safe until a win on the last day of the season. Cups, of course, sucked arse.

P36 W12 D7 L17 43pts 7th place

2007-08 Scottish Third Division
Board and fans expected mid-table. Media wasn't as optimistic. New striker though provides spark that wasn't there before. We never were a threat for the title, but clearly were a playoff team. Finished third, but lost to Forfar on away goals in the semi. Cups sucked arse, except for the Scottish Cup, which being a cup still sucked, but a run to the 4th round helped fill the coffers.

P36 W18 D5 L13 59pts 3rd place

2008-09 Scottish Third Division
Board and fans wanted mid-table. The media though had us at 3rd favorites for promotion, and the media was right. We were never out of the top three and clinched the championship with a game to spare. Promotion got me a year extension at the salary. Cups sucked arse.

P36 W18 D13 L5 67pts 1st place

Good start

I have a question though; what other types of Yankees are there, as opposed to American?
