Season 2029/30

Decision time.

We've been promoted three times in three seasons, won League 2, 2nd in League 1, 2nd in the Championship (strangely enough with P46, W22, D16, L9, 81pts record for all three seasons) so next season will be in the EPL for the first time for 33 seasons, question is do I sign up for another season (Barnsley are offering £4.3kp/w for 4 years, but that would take me to 74y/o) or retire gracefully now.

I'll probably sign up for a season in the EPL, although our U-18s look pretty good...it'd be a blast seeing some of them develop, and make a decision at the end of next (unless I get sacked before that). How old was Guy Roux when he retired?

Cups? What are they?

Revenge. The "scouse gits" put us out the FA Cup in the 3rd round this season...

But more to the point...Barnsley have just doubled their offer to £8.5k p/w for a year :cool:

Season 2030/31

What a battle! We were whipping boys for much of the season, took a lot of beatings, red cards, dodgy goals, penalties, but eventually ended up 10th in the league, doing better than the only other time Barnsley had been in the EPL...keeping them there.

Cups were literally a turn up, show face and bow out.

Anyhoo, we finished with a P38, W12, D11, L15, Gf43, Ga40, Pts47 record, enough for me to sign up for another year.
