If you check the finances, you'll get a chance to see a more detailed report instead of just a summary.

You may find that your monthly expenditures exceed your monthly income, regardless of your wage structure.

As long as your Chairman feels the finances are being handled fine, you should be okay.

At the lower levels of the game, the boards seem to be fairly forgiving in money matters as long as you've been sensible yourself.
As a mirror of that, now I'm making money as a club, I've found my board to be forgiving of the fact that I'm way over my wage budget.

Never been over my wage budget in the 4 years so far, and over £250,000 in debt, and dropping further every week. Board have never even mentioned money (except to tell me I'm not getting any), so I don't worry about it.

I've try to manage the same club for the fifth time in a row now. It's really intresting. The structural wage budget just fits, but the horrendous appaerence fee the players are getting makes it I am about 1,5 million in debt after one season.

Lol, I always get fired in the third season. Going to try for a 6th time now

Lucky you.

In 07 I'm lucky if I stay at a club after 12 months.

Admitedly it might have something to do with not winning more than 7 matches a season.

There's club in the N. Irish second division that has to pay 1.2 million per year to its local amateur feeder club. (Unpatched out of the box game). No chance of getting out of debt there!

Anyone know WHY this is the case?

I take it this is with the latest patch? In an attempt to fix the other problems SI created with the first patch, they unbalanced the game by having players asking for apperance fees taht are way too high (not noticable in bigger clubs, but very much in smaller ones). Hopefully they fix it with the 3rd patch, 3rd time lucky!
