Sacked

13 games, 3 draws 10 losses. The team is moderately hopeless, but sometimes they managed to get shots on goal. Looking for next job.
Excellent update!

Good choice! I'm from the region and Westerlo really has quite a "cosy" stadium. Not too big and a very nice atmosphere.

And they are quite good too, only a shame the Chelski loanees (mostly) s*ck big time.

Took over Liérse , after their manager was sacked in early November. So far got the team up from 13th to 7th. Mid-table obscurity, oh yeah.

BTW the Standard president managed to f*** up the team I built, they're at 11th place and went out of all cups by Christmas. And just sold a brilliant striker talent whom I scouted and signed. Chairman passed him over for a lot of money but I bet it ****es off my successor bigtime

I would love to, but I don't seem to find a "send PM" button anywhere.

2013-14

Excelsior (Dutch Premier League)

Board & fans: battle bravely

Got fired in no time, after a dismal 0-3-10 record. My successor started with a 5-3-2 record (WTF??? :eek, but didn't win a match afterwards, so in co-operation we managed to get the poor team relegated.

P: 13 W: 0 D: 3 L: 10 8-23 3 pts Sacked

Liérse

In early November I was offered and took the Liérse post. I don't know why the former manager was sacked as they were 12th, but I jumped on the opportunity.

Board: mid-table mediocrity
(backup choir by fans: rebuild the squad)

We made an encouraging start with some draws and wins, then we lost to La Louviére before Christmas break, and that was the last leaguedefeat for the season! I tried to use the limited transfer money wisely, getting a much-needed striker (from Lithuania) and a very talented Hungarian defensive mifielder, who already shows class (he's only 18). After the break we kicked out Bruges from the cup, that lifted spirits and the team really gelled well.

Defense became as solid as you can wish, and did something I never had in my FM past experience: they haven't conceded in 9 straight league matches, and the goal which ended this run was an own goal :p

Three games to go we topped a table overtaking Anderlecht (defeated them 1-0 home thanks to a last-minute winner), but us, Bruges and Anderlecht were each on 58 pts, Bruges having a game in hand. They drew it, so with two to go they were a point in front.

Penultimate game of the season came against Westerlo, and we got a point in a dirty struggle (0-0). Bruges won, advancing 3 points ahead thus winning the title (the sorting is more games won, and they had 2 more wins before the last round). Another draw caused us to slip down to third, but that was just about I deserved for this year. I felt really lucky with the huge run without conceding a goal.

3rd
P: 34 W: 17 D: 11 L: 6 43-27 62 pts

Highlight: no goals conceded in 855 minutes

Lowlight: not being able to score in the Cup semis, despite dominating both games

Belgian Cup: this time not sucked ass as usual, though the only semi-decent team remaining (Genk) sent me out with 0-1, 0-0 in the semi-finals

Awards yet to come.

Oops I forgot: Liérse of course is Belgian First League

BTW Standard sucked whole year long, ending up 10th, my successor fired, and most of the squad left. Nice job Mr President

The Liérse chairman thank God keeps his mouth shut. Yet.

Which language do you use? In dutch the name of your club is Lierse, without the accent. I have never seen it being written that way...
