Frank pointed me to Vigor Lamezia playing in Serie C2C. A quick glance and I realised that it would be a struggle.

19 players in the squad, 3 coaches, 1 physio and 1 scout. No ass-man. Board want me to fight bravely against relegation and gave me a whopping 10K in Euros to achieve that.

First foray into the transfermarket saw me sign another scout. Two players in for nowt at the january transfer window, four "players" out for free at the same time.

Vigor starts the season with -2 points for unknown reasons (I'd guess financial problems).Cups naturally sucked and after an indifferent season we ended up 15th:

15 34 8 8 18 39 48 30

Playouts followed where I managed to scrape through by being better placed in the league.
My and the fans MVP was my starstriker (also voted Player of the Year)

Dinamo Kiev won the UEFA-cup and Werder Bremen won the CL.

2007 - 2008 Vigor Lamezia C2C

The board gave me 7K to again fight bravely against relegation. 6 players were shown the door and two players came in, all freebies.

An even more indifferent season (where cups again sucked) saw us heading for playouts again.
17th in the league:
17 34 9 5 20 46 71 32
Knocked out from the league after losing 3-1 on aggregate in the playouts. My and the fans MVP was my starstriker (also voted Player of the Year).

Seville won the UEFA-cup
Barca won the CL.

Off to the jobcenter for me as I resigned before I got the sack.

2008 - 2009 Cattolica C2C

Found a new club to destroy at newly promoted Cattolica. With 11 players in the squad (5 of these were loanees) it was going to be tough. The ever so generous board gave me exactly nothing to "fight bravely" and so on.
Brought in two freebies and 3 more loanees.

Another mediocre (Cups DO suck) season saw me again heading for playouts. Ended
14 34 9 8 17 31 43 35 and won playouts after a resounding 7-0 (!) aggregate score.

My MVP was one of my loanee DC:s who averaged 7.15 in 34 games. The fans voted for my DM (7.11 in 28 games).

Lazio won the UEFA-cup and Barca won the CL.

So, so far, I have not spend one euro in the transfer market and always have ended up fighting for survival. Coincidence? I don't know, it could be that I am just carp at this.
