Lost 1-0 at home, won 2-1 away.

All season I was better away from home.

Seems like this game is going to have to be consigned to the archives. I don't know whether the save file is corrupted or whether there is a more fundamental error with FM2007, but I have had the program shut down on me three times in a row - I'm getting a little tired of playing the same games over and over again!

I might try a new career in overseas LLM.

I'll keep you updated.

Looks like the season is back on track. I gave it one last chance to redeem itself and it worked.

Has been a strange season so far. On field we are doing fine. Off-field is an absolute nightmare. Most of my first team players from last season refused to resign contracts or demanded moves away (which I granted - but no-one wants them - there doing a good job in the reserves though ) . Good job I invested in some youngsters last season!

One particular Irish AMRC/FC signed for £20k from Dundalk was forcibly sold for £1.8million to Newcastle.

This game is now officially buggered!

Shame, I was top of League One and had just beaten W-s-M in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final.

Oh well! Life goes on...

I started a new LLM game, but had a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I had unfinished business at Edgeley Park. I went back to an autosave about three months before the errors appeared to give this game one last chance... It was fine

Season 2015/16 - League One

With almost one million pound to spend, I set about strengthening the squad in key areas. Biggest expenditure was a 21 year old Jamaican Striker from Darlington. Also acquired some promising new youngsters to add to the already youthful reserve team.

Season turned out to be a good one. By christmas we were sitting comfortably in second place. However, a nine match winless streak saw us drop to sixth position with only four games to go. My new Jamaican striker was proving to be a shrewd purchase with over 20 League goals by this point. He demanded a move away from club so I dropped him to the Reserves. His replacement - a young English striker who had some U21 call-ups - bagged six in the last four and propelled us back up to second place and promotion. Weston-super-Mare won the playoffs!

P46 W21 D15 L10 F62 A47 Pts78 (Pos - 2nd)

Highlight: Promotion!
Lowlight: Losing 2-0 to a very poor Huddersfield team in the JPT Semi-Final
Star Man: 22 year old Jamaican Striker
Top Scorer: 22 year old Jamaican Striker (22 goals)

In total six first team players were either banished to the reserves or free transferred for demanding a move away and/or refusing to sign a new contract. Tough but fair!

Season 20016-17 - Championship

I was expecting an extremely tough time in the Championship, esecially with the likes of Everton, West Brom, Charlton, Fulham languishing down there.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that my players made the step up with some ease. My Top Scorer from last season rescinded his transfer request - which I agreed to as I thought that I would probably need him - and promptly broke his leg three days later. I think that is Karma. Anyway I spent £85k in the summer and a further £660k in January. In total £4m worth of young talent left the club to seek their fortune in the SPL.

Stockport finshed a commendable 7th place, but spent much of the season in the playoff hunt, losing out on goal difference after an indifferent end to the season.

P46 W19 D17 L10 F58 A51 Pts74 (Pos- 7th)

Highlight: A 2-0 home win over Man Ure in League Cup
Lowlight: A rather humiliating 5-1 drubbbing in the very next game vs Millwall
Star Man: 19 yo Towering Centre Back (free transfer from Airdrie!)
Top Scorer: 23 yo Jamaican Striker (10goals)

WSM finshed 17th.
Stockport 0-2 WSM
WSM 0-1 Stockport
