Frustration. Nothing went well, inability to sign players and an urge to move on. Promotion seemed impossible. The Exeter manager was “under pressure.” I stated interest seeking a move to Devon. Moor Green board not happy. No response from Exeter. Few weeks go by. Torquay (now in the Conference) job opens up. Torquay is one job I always fancy. Must be the views of the Sydney Opera House, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically…wait…

The Moor Green board tells me to resign. I say no. Few days later Torquay offer the job. I’m off to Plainmoor. (Promotion! \o/ )

Moor Green end up 11th.

Though the year prior they were in the playoffs, they’re in a relegation fight when I take over. We end up 18th, 11 points clear of safety.

CHAMPIONS!!! \o/ Two points ahead of Woking who beat me with three games left to make it close. We drew on the final day and they lost to Nuneaton. \o/

On a sad note, Exeter were promoted from League Two so we don’t get to face them.

Nice work with the Moors. You did better than they'll likely actually achieve - althou they are having a decent go this year.

You talk of in-game frustrations etc which pale into insignificance given the current RL manager has been there for donkeys years.

Unfortunately it will all end this year as the chairman is forcing the club thru a merger with rivals (and ground owners) Solihull Boro. So when FM08 comes around keep an eye out for the new team if they are able to keep their Conf North spot.

I also started my current savegame with Moor Green. And like you, I got frustrated after about 3 years, and resigned. Your results were better than mine though.
