Season 5 2010-11

Expectations promotion – I do hope so!

Spent a huge (for me) £950k on 8 new players, me & my scout have a pretty ordinary record in buying, I hope this lot improves it.
The Midas in the board room has finally agreed to improve the training facilities.

That leaves our starting finances thus. Balance £4.36M Transfer budget £230k Wage budget £46k with £6k spare.

Euro Cup home leg against Besiktas, we committed aggravated burglary to win 1-0, they had 32 shots to our 6
Away leg we kept a clean sheet till half time then they stuffed 3 past us.

At last! Promotion as champions.
Despite 3 separate injury crises we manage to hang around mid table all season, then on the run in thru April/May the results just kept coming.

Just a footnote, I sacked my ass man 'cause he was an ass, signed an applicant who is a youth coach but has man management 20, motivating 20 and the tactical knowledge of a newt. Be interesting to see how he makes out.

Expectations, bravely battle relegation.

11 new signings, mostly youngsters, lets hope there’s a diamond or two amongst them.

November sees training facilities upgraded at last
November also saw me second in the Greek manager of the year award, it was somewhat soured when I realised the winner was Eric Gerets (Belgian) currently managing Arsenal. Sort it SI!

End of March brings me a new 4 year deal on £3.1

Survive we did but it wasn’t guaranteed till the last match, there are only 16 teams in the league so 10th looks better than it is, it also means a much smaller gap from top to bottom.
We were the draw specialists & I’ve never seen so many “it was a drab match” comments, who cares, we’re still here.
4 of my signings look good though they are young.
My Slovenian St doesn’t cut it at this level , so it’s goodnight from him.

Highlights, we’ve been filling the ground every match, so I’m dreaming of an expansion.
