Default Newbie Perspective

I'd like to show to people thinking of joining in this forum, and taking up the style of LLM as it is played here, that as long as you read the forum guidelines, understand them and adhere to them, then for example you will find some of the following:-

1. You will not be made to feel unwelcome, quite the opposite.

2. You will get to enjoy the many great updates posted regularly, and post your own.

3. You will get many - laugh out loud - moments.

4. And finally, you'll get somewhere to go, to get a break from your long losing streak.

This has been my experience so far, and I hope some of the other new members can add to this and give their opinions.

And please, please, please, read the forum rules and guidelines.

Seriously the above comments are spot on. I joined 3 years ago. I read the headers and other info and realised LLM was basically how I played anyway. I then lurked for about a week to get the feel of the place and then posted. Never a problem.

I think this is a great place for dedicated players. It's true you have to take a lot of posts with a big chunk of salt. But when you have a minimum of intelligence and especially common sense, that isn't all that hard.

There definitly is some sort of treshold you have to take, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. If you want to be 'accepted' (such a dirty word ) you have to have a serious view about the world of FM. I think that's very good as some sort of filter, to, let's say; separate the men from the boys. (I know I'm generalising a bit here, sometimes even boys or women can fit in )

Big fluffy teddybears isn't exactly the way I would describe the regulars, but they aren't flesh-eating vultures either.
