Ok ive read alll the threads so far but i still dont understand. Do i get a usb cable that connects to my pc and psp, and where can i get them from

Yes you do need one.
They will be widely available online, from places like gameplay etc, and probably on the highstreet to from places like GAME.
They shouldn't cost you too much, probably around £5.

Most PSP charger cables these days have a USB connector on them also - pls check you might have one already and not realise it.
