Just got the game and so far I love it

Few things:

If you start the game un-employed can you apply to be a scout/ass. manager etc?

If so i struggled to work it out.

No doubt I will be staying on here as Im already addicted to the game

Manager -> Board Room -> Make Board Request -> Expand the Stadium

you can start a game unemployed but will have to wait a bit to find a new club ( also set your reputation up if you want to manage bigger clubs and not, say C1 club in Italy).
You cannot be an assistant manager or scout/coach.
Depending on the interest start with a middle team and try to make a tactics that suits the team, and remember to use player instructions. Tactic is very important, but after you got into it, youll be addicted, I warn you
