What about Jaap Stam, Dennis Bergkamp, Robin van Persie, Marc Overmars and others like them?

I'm sure the german board members will also be able to name quite enough germans who have fared just as well in the premiership than they did in the german league.

That's not to say I don't agree with you that right now Kuyt in real life hasn't found his groove with Liverpool...but having seen him in Holland, the guy sure can score lots of goals (and provide lots of assists). Apparently, in the game, he HAS found his groove. He might very well do the same in real life yet.

As a sidenote, in my game, he's been reasonably lacklustre for Liverpool, scoring only 13 goals in his first season.

i can only put that down to arsene wengers coaching and tactician skills. Jaap Stam was pretty good, bergkamp got good at inter the others im puttin down to arsene. i can't think of anyone from the german league.

Ashley Young in my game has scored 30+ in 1st 2 seasons, it is quite unrealistic at times for sure.

One issue that I come across is that strikers with lots of pace are very difficult to play against, regardless of their ability in real life.

And how many have researchers overrated, players that eventually reached mediocrity? I bet there's a whole lot more. Just because we can name the few who made it (because now they're well-known) doesn't mean the opposite didn't happen.

How do you judge overrated players? Based on real life?

So if Kuyt was scoring goals, you wouldn't say he's overrated. Secondly looking at real life and FM, you might say Benjani is underrated due to the exploits as top scorer.

Having a go at SI for overrated players is useless. End of the day its your opinion, you might say Kuyt is overrated, i might say he's underrated. It's a game, get on with it. If you're really bothered change Kuyt's CA.
