I am chelsea and have finished my third season and have won 3 league titles and 7 cups during that time. However now Cech, Bridge, Cole, Essien and Fred all say they beleive they have achieved all they can at the club and wish to leave.
What should i do because they are all quality players but don't want new contracts.
Should i sell them for prices that are quite high and buy replacements that are happy at the club or keep them players even though they are unhappy and want to leave (does this hinder their performance).
I would sell them all but then i sold a player who got upset with a teammate for giving away a penalty. The sold player then went on to lead the scorers chart the next season so take my advice at your peril.
I would, there's some good money there. Just make sure you have time to spend it before the season ends, and it all gets swallowed up.
Similarly, it makes me laugh when players want to move to a bigger club. Currently, my wantaway striker Obafemi Martins is on the transfer list. He's keen to move to a bigger club, and is furious that i've just rejected and offer from, and therefore refused to let him speak to.....
Charlton Athletic.
No offence to Charlton at all, but bigger than Newcastle? Not sure about that. And can they really afford the £20m i want for him? Thats his asking price, so they know what i want.
