Im sorry if this is a stupid question but where do u have to save the download to for patch 8.01

I saved it to desktop then went to start a new game and it still said version 8.0

Any help?

Click on it on your desktop then when it comes up click update

I will download it again where should i put the file? do i have to extract files or anything?

No u dont extract it.

You save it to ur esktop and when is has finished you click on the short cut on your desktop then it will open a grey box. then click on setup then a biger grey box will come up then click on update

Got to agree with HazzyDeepy the patch is crap. I took my Sheff Utd up to Premier with 104 points (only 3 defeats all season)and was doing very well 2 seasons in to Premier. I downloaded patch and started a new game but I am struggling to make top two having lost five of my first 7 away games. (allthough won all seven home so far). I cant understand this as my tactics are the same as is my squad but suddenly hot shot Sharp couldn't hit a barn door if he was stood in the barn!!!.

Anytime the match engine is tweaked, you have to adjust your tactics. For example, there was a known closing-down issue in the box version of the game, perhaps you had (inadvertantly) used this bug to your advantage, hence the brilliant sequence of results.

Post-patch, your tactic loses its effectiveness as the weakness that was so previously exploited is different, if not missing entirely.

Just an example, of course, of how tactics seem to "fail" post-patch.
