My question is in short: How do I get a WP for a young non-EU player?
I have searched the different threads on WP's and some members reckon getting a WP for a young non-EU player depends on how talented the player is.
My thing is however:
I manage a small Norwegian club and have found four young South Koreans I want to sign. The players are PA-rated between 140 and 160 and their CAs are somewhere between 80 and 90. All were uncapped, all were amateurs, they were all named Kim = they were practically the same besides playing different positions.
I approached them and they all accepted my offers (all contracts were similar) - but: it was only the player with the lowest CA and PA that got a WP, and thus the rest of the offers were cancelled. Why?
Can everyone give me an update on what makes a young bloke get a WP and vice versa? Seems odd in the case with the Koreans cause they all looked the same besides playing different positions but that should make any difference - or should it?
You need to get a work permit feeder club preferable in Belgium or Poland. You wont be offered one of these at first especially if you dont already have any feeders but keep trying.
Once you get one of these feeders try and sign a non eu player the work permit will probably be refused at the first attempt. After appealing the permit might be refused again but since you have a wp feeder club you will be able to sign the player anyway you just wont be able to play him. When this happens just send him to one of your feeders for 3 years.
