One thing I do like about this game is the way that you never know what is going to happen next. I started off unemployed with the Championship/Premiership, La Liga/Secunda and Serie B/Serie A unlocked.
My first job came from Wolves who took a chance on me on 9/12/2007 when they were just above the relegation places. They expected me to get them to the play offs, but by 4/3/2008 I had to go after only getting them into a mid-table position.
17/3/2007 Ascoli took a gamble on me and we finished 14th in Serie B. The next season I finished second in Serie B and got us promotion. I went on a little free-transfer spree, signing a bunch of good players who I thought could keep us up...but alas, relegation was confirmed on 25/4/2008, finishing 19th in Serie A on 16/5/2007. With a huge wage bill we AD to get promoted the following season if the club was gonna stay afloat. We finished 7th, ONE point off of the playoffs and I had to go, losing my job on 23/6/2011.
24/6/2011 Parma accepted my job application and I finished 4th in Serbie B...but lost in the play offs. I found myself on the dole again on 13/6/2012.
22/6/2012 Ascoli once again took me on, but after remaining in the lower end of the table with no real finances to bring in new players in the transfer window, I decided to step down on 10/11/2012.
14/12/2012 Everton came calling for me. 22nd in the Championship and bankrupt (in recievership) they would like the team to be a major player in the Championship by the end of their 2 year plan. No problem...if they only had all of their good players. Cahill was sold for 3.7m, Vaughan for 2.9m, Arteta for 5.5 and they're still in trouble. I'll give it a go and if I can turn this club around and get them into the Premiership I can always go looking for a better team.
Damn...I just got sacked. Everton were just giving my players away to lower their wage bill, I ended up with my best players being loan signings from Sevilla (we were connected).
I just had to accept the only job on the table for me...
