I'm taking a run with Arsenal this time around. AC Milan is making a run at van Persie. It's January 08, and we have a tight table at the top. While I'm behind Man U by 8 points, I'm behind Liverpool and Chelsea by 1 point.

Not a bad performance IMHO, but van Persie has just declared he wants to "seek challenges" elsewhere and won't negotiate a new contract. How do I keep this from happening?

If he remains unhappy after a while, then it would probabaly be best to sell him before his contract expires and you get nothing for him. Be prepared to set your price high though.

i love arsenal but a lot of players will want to seek pastures new because they are young
rvp,cesc,clichy an a lot more the only way i managed to keep them happy was to accept all bids and cancel the deal at the last minute so they dont get ****ed off.

and regarding happyness you have to tie them all down when they are happy,keep offering deals and he will take one.

you might not want to keep handing out new deals but it depends on how bad you want to keep the player

Sometimes, I've convinced a player to stay by transfer-listing him and shoving him in the reserves, and, with continued senior-level success, he has "reconsidered" or "is reconsidering his decision to leave."
