The render looks great, I disagree with some, I think the colour of his skin looks great and it helps blend and suit the sig very well. The blur it seems around it looks good also, it helps blend him in too as well as look plain cool.
BG wise its a tad empty but looks nice and simple though. Maybe to make it look better you could blend some pale red colours in there to represent Crystal Palace more ?
Maybe fitting the badge in there somewhere too, might help the BG I think.
The text is a tad bit simple for my liking, I usually like simple text on simple sigs but not this time. Maybe make it more bold and somehow get a nice Soft Light effect going on, I think this would look really nice.
Overall a very good piece of work, is simple yet looks smooth and effective. Well done man, keep it up too.
