Using English league structure to run an ulitmate American League
Ok, I have looked around and have yet to find a good, league that makes most of the USA teams available to play in the ladder league format. Has anyone is or is anyone thinking of moving all the NA teams to the English leagues to make it a Dream USA League?
I would attempt this but am in the process of working on starting a new business and with my current job taking up as much time, I dont have the quality time needed to do this real justice.
I did count up the teams from NA and there would be enough to replace the entire English league and it could be done.
Thanks
Peace

The bigger problem is the hard coded rules for the USA. One issue that is caused by this is the fact that after a swap is done, the USA based teams are not able to offer any tranfers for players.
This is why I changed my Belgian swap from USA to Canadian.

Your on the right track Meter, I was thinking of using your league, (which I am still working on getting started on, too many games to run, not enough time) and I thought that if you did the complete swap to England, like you did to Canada, it would solve that problem.
I am pretty sure with all the unplayable/playable NA teams, you could cover all the main English leagues and then, from there, you could leave the lower levels the same and just let teams come in from there once you start the league.
I am getting to the point I am ready to try this, but may be a long time in the doing, lots of things happening at work and I am trying to get started on my own business
If you culd Meter, could you email the exact details on what it takes to make the league work your way. I got a pretty good idea, but want to make sure it is all good. elf_30@yahoo.com
Any help would be much appreciated and if anyone that has swapping experience and wants to take this on, feel free,
peace

The FA Cup requires over 100 teams of the nationality of the English league system to be in "A Lower Division", while it could be done by the time you are finished, FM08 would most likely be out unless you spent every single moment of your free time working on it.

I figured as much Dave and that is just it for me, I am not sure I will be getting fm08, unless they introduce some serious things that I think are missing but no matter, may just start on it when i can and see where it leads.
Thanks Meter, gonna seriously think about this, if I can find the time.
Peace

Just had a crazy thought, not sure if it is in the right line of thinking but what if, you just switched the teams in the league and left the others as is, the lower division teams. They would all be english teams yes, but would that not be enough. You could, if your changing the american teams to english, just alter thier lower level so that if they do get relegated, they have a chance to come back also, I think that makes sense, no?
