A Default tactics question.

My question today for you is...
Can you play with default tactics and be successful?
By successful, i mean retain ur predicted position or better at the end of the season.

I just wanted to know what you think and please clearly articulate your idea as i have no interest in a vague comment or anything else to that effect.

yes. i tested it with 2 teams and i did the double and a treble. as long as you have a very good team then you should have a fair amount of success (doing teamtalks yourself helps aswell).

Did you use any tweaks at all or was it just default? I am trying out with minimal Player Intructions and i think its working way better

no tweaks. i just made sure my defenders were fast, my midfielders were not only creative but also good ball winners and my strikers were were fast and were good finishers.

the defult tactics work because they are SIMPLE for the players to understand and the whole team will be on the same wavelengh.

i tried it with milan on holiday and won the treble

. i also tried it with chelsea ( haven't finished the test) and man u ( won the domestic double).

with chelsea i did try changing the width, tempo,D-line and passing style depending on how the match was going. i did have quit good success but i got bored and didnt finish the test (typical me

).

oh okay thanks. but whenever i change my tactics to the default tactics half way into the game, my team usually get hammered. Usually a 4-0 defeat!

i think so. I am managing manchester united. And i m pretty sure if u are totally successful with the default tactics in the first season, the seccond season would be nightmare for you as the opponent start putting tough defensive formations against you.
