The West Ham Challenge

I think i will give this a go as i have been getting a bit bored with the game, so a challenge will be good.
I have never started a season with West Ham so this should be interesting.

Sorry to post twice but i cant edit my own posts.

Fuss- When you say all ZEnglish for league do you mean the Conference and Conference North/South. I ask this because due to the speed of my computer i can only run from league 2 upwards, other wise it will take me about a month to complete a season.

Actually as with most players that have WP difficulties if you keep trying then you can eventually land him, I've found this to be the case with 90% of players, but most people give up after they can't get a WP the first time. Took 4 attempts for Corluka this time, don't if it helped that by this point he had requested a transfer? Always seems to work eventually, same with players liek Freddy Guarin.

TheWhileyFox - I'm runnign league 2 and up I think, cant really remmember. But as long as you have the major english leagues it'll be fine. Dosn't really make that much difference.

Won't be taking part as I already played with West Ham and scraped a 3rd place finish with alot of lucky results and am currently failing miserably at getting Fisher into the football league.

Out of curiosity would people who are doing this post if and when Tevez throws the rattle out of the pram. I would be interested to know if there is any particular sequence of events that initiate this. As an example this is how it happened to me:-

1. Date: Middle of June 2007
2. League Position: Finished 3rd
3. Run of results: LWXWWWW
4. Cup Info: Won UEFA, Knocked out of FA Cup in 5th Round, Knocked out of League Cup in 4th Round
5. Had denied speculation linking him to a bigger club
6. Happiness Progression:Happy at club => Happy with conditions currently => Wants to leave club as soon as possible

Thanks for any future responses as I think it will give an interesting insight into dealing with temperamental players.

Even if you'd won the league he'd still want to leave due to his reptuation and current abilty. It would outweight your repuation at the football club. So he's always destined to leave. However if you did win the league he'd sign a new contract and then be happy again.

Ok so i thought i would take up this challenge...

Signings
Billy Jones (900k)- Good cover player in my opinion
Guardado (2.2Mill)- First team regular
Cagua (90k)- Great player who fits in with my rotation system
Ben Haim (3.9mill)- Brought in to be a leadder at the back i am a big fan of his after a sucessful bolton save of mine.
Jose sosa (425k)= Loaned out
Cardenas (250k)- under 18s

My team

my top four goalkeepers are out injured so i want to try and bring in a john ruddy on loan enyeama has already been bought. I dont need anymore strikers as i have marlon harewood and zamora up from the reserves

I play a counter attackin defensive system My Wingers Being the most important players on the pitch both on free roles as the give the defense an outlet and create loads of chances

Back to the challenge and a quick update from me played 22 games and here is the table:

Won my Uefa cup group without letting a goal in.

Dont think I got what it takes to win league but looking for top 4.

Any questions on stats for the season so far, tactics, anything let me know.

Overall Goals

Ashton - 12
Iversen - 9
Tevez - 9

Anelka is league highest goalscorer with 15 with Iversen my highest league goalscorer with 8

My assists are shared around my team with Tevez being the highest with 4

My main disappointment is my goals from setpieces only got 1 from corner 2 from indirect freekick and 0 from direct. Something to work I think
