Great thread guys ive just finshed my 1st season as west ham im playing with a weegie update. Ended up coming 4th as i struggled from january but ive changed tactics currently using fuss tactic seems to give a lot of possension.

I started mine with 1.8 million. I couldn't get any extra funds. I loaned Bale and Denilson and bought Johnson for 1.2m. Both my left back became injured and I just managed to get Bale on loan. I thought Denilson would be a starter, but he hasn't been able to out shine Mascherano yet. It took Johnson a few games to start scoring, but he got two against Salszburg in the UEFA Cup qualifying stage, in which he netted twice, a header and a free kick. He has been a great target man and works well with Tevez. Unfortunatly, my laptop closed down so I'll be starting a new one on my computer. I'll post back later.

Right, I've just updated my game to the Weegie update and decided to take up this challenge. First this first, after being welcomed by "The Biscuit Man" I asked him for more money He then bumped up my transfer kitty to £18m. Nice one Eggy!

To my utter frustration, most of the "usual" suspects for signings have been snapped up by other clubs in R/L, so it's next to impossible to sign some of the following:

Andres Guardado - Deportivo
Vincent Enyeama - H. Tel-Aviv
Sebastien Pocognoli - Az Alkmaar
Freddy Adu - Benfica

So I dug into the transfer market. By the time the window had closed, I got the news item that I had been the busiest in the transfer window signing no less than 10 players:

Plus Eduardo Ratinho for £2.4m coming in January. Gary Speed was simply signed for the Staff role. So, he will sit in the reserves and also serve as backup. It would have been a lot more if my work permits came through. Unfortunately I failed to get work permits for the following:

Alandson
Alex Cazumba
Alandson

The only exits were Bowyer to Aston Villa (£1m) and Spector to Watford (£700k) Despite major price cuts I failed to get interest for a few of the others. (Daily, Paintsil, Cole, Etherington, Quashie, Boa Morte, Zamora) So off to the reserves for them unless they prove otherwise.

So, the start of the season was met with a cautious draw at Man City using bRAziL's 4-3-3 tactic. Thereafter however, I got a brilliant draw against Chelsea only stumped by a last minute Drogba header. Things were on the up thereafter though.
